My dad is currently working on a mcculloch 549 two man chainsaw. It was my grandfathers and he purchased it new. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on parts sources or manuals for this saw, thanks.

If you get serious about trying to find parts, I've got a neighbor who is supposed to be one of the biggest antique McCulloch chainsaw parts dealers in the country. He's been buying up old dealer's stock for a long time. His name is Robert V.(Bob) Johnson, in Maryland, New York State (Otsego County, Central New York). He runs Bob's Mower Repair, the McCulloch business, and is also a full-time trapper when the season is open. He closes his business during trapping season, which is open now. So, finding him this time of year is hit-and-miss. 607-638-9297 and mail address: Robert V. Johnson, 632 Route #7, Maryland, New York.

Hi Bill,

Try poking around this site. There is a lot of information there on antique chainsaws and contacts for parts.
