well its not -40, but it is a balmy -15 with a 40 below wind chill out of the three vehicles we have, the new truck woulldn't start, the boys newer car had a flat tire, but started, not going to change that today, old blue 11 year old car fired right up, 300,000 miles, so much for technology, wife yelled at me, said if I would have got up earlier it probably would have started, that makes sense. motherinlaw probably come over tonight, guess I will be gone. Yes you are correct it was cold today. Highs - mid 50's lows - low 40's but that soaking off and on rain makes it feel colder.
Thats O K; sun should be out on Sunday with highs upper 60's by Monday.

Happy Mardi Gras from LA.
John

Will be cold again tonight ... you should suggest to the wife that best bet is to have mother-in-law stay with car in the garage. She could keep the car running to make sure it will start in the morning

Too cold at -15 for a new vehicle to start? Unless it has 40 weight oil in it I would be taking it back to the dealer in a hurry. Wednesday night it was -39 with a -52 wind chill here in Alberta..brutal

Guess we're really lucky... When I got up this morning @ 4:00 it was 41 degrees... with a 25 mph - 35 mph wind. Lots of folks around here (Wyoming) complain about the wind (they say it blows constantly... I really don't notice)... but I've found that when it's above zero & the wind blows, the cars start right up... when it's well below zero and calm, I get the ol' rrrr rrrr rrrr... I'll take warm & breezy!!! Stay warm... spring will be here soon!

I stopped in a camping area in the Wind River? area of Wyoming once upon a time and under the glass counter at the desk it had a sign that said "yes, the wind does blow here all the time"! Fred OH

I lived in Cheyenne for 4-5 years -- I miss it a lot! Nice people out there, and a good pace of life.

Not that KY is bad, WY is just different.
