Electricity is a lot like gossip, it travels faster than what is carrying it. As far as which way it goes, consider this: electricity travels at 186,000 miles in a second while the actual electron only goes about 1 inch in that same second. Doesn't seem to matter much if the electron is going up or down stream. As a side note, The guy (Ben Franklin) would sold us on the idea of electricity (juice) going from + to - outside the source is the same guy who wanted the turkey as our national bird.

I'm surprised nobody has taken it down to circular mills and holes. Boy, that was 29 years ago. Haven't used that knowledge since.

Electricity is not good for anything but producing heat.

I really didn't like learning about particle and sub-atomic particle characteristics in school. It gets too confusing. Suck-Push-Bang-Blow is so much more simplier.

I have pondered this carefully, done some research, asked two neighbors, and My "G" still burns too much gas.

The G was built to burn the cheap light oils straight off the batch distillation vessel technology. An over abundance of light/heavy oil products were by-products at the time. Back then they just let the LP, butane, methane burn off or used it in process heating. The surplus of heavy oils they now make asphalt from was just dumped and buried. Cat cracking and continuous distillation tower technology wasn't utilized until late in WWII. Allowed making more gasoline in total and of higher octane per barrel of crude. The various light oils, kerosene and white gas was/is cheaper than high octane gasoline which has processing inve$ted. The G with it's 4 to 1 compression isn't mechanically efficient but would run all day on anything that would pour and burn. Run the old girl on the cheap stuff, not gasoline

Please define cheap stuff. the last time I checked kerosene was two dollars a gallon while the higher octane was selling for around a dollar and a half.

The G was built from the mid 30's to 53. White gas, kerosene and light oil was cheap util after WWII. You must be paying for triple filtered low sulphur home heating kerosene. Jet-A amd Jet-A1 is cheaper than pump gas at the local airport. Kerosene at the pump in Lucknow last week 46 cents/liter, off road coloured winter diesel 54 cents and road diesel 66cents.No farm gas here anymore, apply for road tax rebate. Road gas was 72.9 cents for the low octane crap.

Having worked on italian cars for years I subscribe to the smoke theory of power flow. its the only one that explains the observed workings of non-fuel powered devices. Briefly it states that electricity is a hoax. All powered devices run on smoke. Devices that need a lot of smoke get big wires; ones that need a little smoke get smaller wires. As proof that the theory is true consider this: has anything in your memory worked AFTER you let the smoke out of it? That generator/alternator thingie that makes the smoke will put out a HUGE amount of smoke if you mess with it in the wrong way(or sometimes on our italian cars in the RIGHT way!!!)Just doing my part to dispell the whole elctricity scam.

Often wondered about that smoke theory and now I know that it is a valid and tested theory which would make it a smoke LAW and not a theory anymore. Great answer ... makes sense to me !!!

I always thought it was noise that caused things to move. When the noise starts, things move. When the noise stops, things stop.
