My father in law is thinking about buying an original (1961-1963) cub cadet. This thing appears to be well preserved but un restored.it has great tires , a good deck and would be a minimal effort to restore. Is $550.00 a fair price for this? Thanks.

Yes, that's in the ballpark for what you're describing. Someone else will buy it for $550 if you don't. Take a look at this one and compare what it is and the price...

Does he appreciate fine machinery? Is he handy with tools and machinery? It can be worth ten times that in theraputic value.
