good morning. anyone who doubts if we are killing ourselves just go to google and type killing our own. go there and read and hit other related links. are we killing our own? yes the damage is already done. another is the killing of anniston alabama. go to those links and see what monsanto did to them. more sites? try kerr-mcgee disasters. i'm only 48 but i know that after i'm no longer productive and paying taxes i'm then a burden to the gov't. why anyone thinks that the gov't wants us to live to very ripe old ages is beyond me. another site to look at is fernald ohio. then tell me how much the gov't is looking out for us. last but not least love canal. supposedly there is enough dioxin buried there to kill the entire population of the earth 300 times. lookin out for us? huh greg

Greg, I would suggest that before you accept the publication you cite as gospel, that you would log on to a site called "Junk Science" It may be enlightening in that you will learn to discern for yourself why some people make the claims that they do. Being an activist or an author does not qualify anyone for anything but being an activist or an author. I live in Michigan just 7 miles south of ont of the largest Chemical companies in the world and have heard the charges leveyed by different activist groups for years, and yet the company is regarded as a good neighbor by most. Question how statistics are gathered rather than take them at face value. Remember that nearly everyone who has died of cancer drank milk as a child. Does that make milk a cause of cancer? See how statistics can lead to an illogical conclusion?

Some people dont like to talk about their mortality. But nobodies figured how the beat that one. I think some people just have the right jean for the long haul. Other than that I think our gov to big business to our own parents put a hash mark on how long we'll live either through stupidity, ignorance, or just not caring about your health and welfare. The gov did the nuclear test in nevada and the scientist warned their own families not to be down wind. the prevailing winds carried this stuff over the rest of the USA. Parents smoked around kids or left them in the sun too long or didnt pay enough attention when the where eating the lead paint. Big business didnt care or fix asbestis etc..

Your third sentence reminded me of the results of a "government" study. Diarrhea is hereditary; you carry it in your jeans....

Hi greg

We all trying to find a place to forget all
problems and i like to come here to read and share
about farming and old iron.

I realy dont know why it is necessary to
spill sadness on all sites. TV and radio brings
that stuff 24/7/365.

Do you even have a tractor or a garden ?

My only question is this... What does this have to do with antique tractors? Nothing? I thought so. Thank you for your time...

I probably should not even reply but I do have a comment. You are right I do not know you, and yes you are right again I did not even try to find any of those sites you mentioned. I do question some things that go on but I will say that if I distrusted my government as much as you seem to I would be looking for one that would better suit my needs, and then find out the best way to get there. But then again I do not expect as much from the government as some do maybe it is because I am naive enough to think that I am part of the government{of the people by the people} I may not have my way in Wash.DC but I do vote and I do what I can locally.

If you're so G**D*** miserable do the social security system a favor and check out of this existance. Give us a holler and let us know how it is on the other side. That's a post that would arouse some interest.

Since 1973 we've killed millions of babies in the name of 'choice', why would this other stuff bother you?

you don't know me. it's none of your business if i'm pro-life or pro-choice. i have no control over what the gov't or mega business do to hurt my health and future generations OF THOSE BABIES THAT LIVE. did you take any time to go to any of the websites i listed? from your response i doubt it. whether you want to believe it or not, you and yours have also been affected by it. greg

I agree there are some horrible things out there, but this is an antique tractor site where people come together for a sanity break to enjoy the life we have. If we want to read about the perils of the world we will go to those sites ourselves but please don't bring it here. If you want to discuss your old iron then welcome, otherwise find someplace else to jump on your soap box!
