I don't about others; but, now that we've had our first cold snap, I'm hauling a cord and battery charger about those machines I did not remove the batterys. I may be wrong but I have developed this theory some fifty years ago, a charged battery will last the winter. My first six month battery lasted me seven years. The one in my lawn tractor could just possibly make it into its fourth summer. Some of the bigger heavier duty batterys too heavy for me to move have gone some eleven/twelve years.
Just thought I'd pass this along. It works for me.
