Did you ever post a picture on the message board of the truck and trailer you ended up purchasing? I was hoping to see what you purchased.

Thanks for asking. I'm waiting for Santa to get here with the digital camera. We're going to wait untill the "after Christmas sales" to get one. Then I'll flood the 'net with pictures of my toys. Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS. John

when looking at digital cameras. check how long from the time you press the shutter button until the pictures is taken and how fast you can take the next picture. I have a Kodak that takes great pictures, however it drives me crazy trying to time the shots. Example daughter graduated with MBA, had to press the button before she was given the diploma and thought the picture was taken as she walked alway. found out it was a perfect shot, so I got lucky this time. at my sons high school graduation did not get lucky and had some bad pictures.

So all I am trying to say is if snapshots of action is important then check before buying. Mine is fine for still shots of equipment, people etc.

I'm thinking that all of them have the annoying delay (mine sure does)- because the computer has to calculate the distance, light, etc. after you click the shutter. Maybe new technology is making the delay shorter, but I don't think the digital is ever going to be the trick deal for catching the granddaughter at the top of her jump over the high hurdles.

I had the same problem with my Kodak, then I discovered the right way to use it. You just touch the button to set things ahead of the time you want to take the picture; hold everything like this, then push the button the rest of the way to take your action picture. That works for me.
