Has anybody ever heard of a Le ROL Milwaukee engine I just got it today and was told its a continental which I believe not to be true its a 4 cylinder with a mag over head valve engine it was set up as a power unit. If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'll try to get some numbers off of it.

Old, on that Continental engine in your Cletrac why don't you drive up hwy5 to Versailles and talk to Zimmerman that sell the old crawler tractors. He may know a lot about the vintage crawlers. Hope this helps. Tom

Old I live 3miles west of Jackson, Mo. The county seat of Cape Girardeau County. I ran a hardware route for 91/2 yrs that started in New Haven then to Hermann, Jeff City,Eldon, Osage Beach, Laurie, California, Tipton, Fayette, and ended in Columbia. I still go out to Tipton 1 or 2 times a year to see my M Farmall buddy, Gene Moore and his wife Frances. Old you have a Merry Chrismas and a Happy New Year. Tom

I used to haul LP gas to oil field pumping units.
One of them had a LeRoi four cylinder engine. Because of the higher speed engine vs. the typical Fairbanks one lunger or a Continental, it used more fuel. Seemed pretty dependable, but I dont' know how long it lasted or anything else about it.

As I recall it had a kind of Allis Chalmers color of paint on it.

It is a LeRoi engine. Waukesha Motor Co. bought out LeRoi in the early 1950s and not much history is known of either company. LeRoi made a lot of stationary engines and air compressors.
