Can anyone recomend a mid-size (15-30 h.p.) tractor that is suited for snow removal with a loader bucket. I am considering ford N series, but open to other options (hopefully less expensive). Thanks

My personal preference is to have a tractor which has the front axle in the front, not tucked back under the tractor. That is because the farther back it is, the more weight there is on the front, and the less there is on the rear. If you are mostly pushing, and not much lifting, this will be less of a concern.

Only my opinion. Ford series 600 and 800 would be a better choice than the 8N. I also recomend power steering if adding a loader.

An N series would not even be an option to me. I would look for a 350 IH utility, or a 460 IH utility if it was me, or a 550 Oliver, any of these are better tractors than an 8N Ford.

don't forget the cases the 430 and 530s were tough and durable
