Picked up a Belarus 802 at a farm sale. It was pull started because the batteries were weak? When I got it home, I replaced the batteries with new. Came to find out they were in wrong. But when put in right, now the guages and lights are all dead whereas they weren't before. What could be the problem?

There is a circuit breaker behind the seat (not the ground switch which activates the elerctrical system), push it and see what happens. Is this a 24v starting system, and if so does the tractor start? There also may be a loose connection to the wire entering the fuse panel. The main wire is the one farthest left, which connects to the fuse for the back lights, it's on the bottom side of the fuse, and black in colour, check to see if current is coming into this wire.

John,
Sometimes that reset button can be a real pain, so what we did on our tractor was cut that out and replace the reset switch with a fuse. All the parts we needed to do that was available at an autoparts store. But if it doesn't give you anymore trouble, i'd just leave it alone.

Tom, I'd be proud to dance at your wedding. I had no idea there was a reset button behind the seat. After removing the panels around the console and tearing the dash apart for 2 days needlessly, that was all it took. Everything came to life again and it started right up. Thanks a million.
