OT: what is Kwansa, fill me in

I see this on my calender and dont know what it is, I heard of it a few times but never asked. Can anybody fill me in. I think the spelling is right (kwansa, or close to it)

Hmmmm..... I see. I understand the politically correct statement. I wouldnt want to get make a wrong statement and have to undergo anger management or diversity training, At least now I know what it is (or think I do) before I make a stupid comment Like "what the he** is Kwansa" in front of people at work.

Note that it does come, conveniently, at the same time as Christmas. So the kidlets still get presents, its just for a different and more diverse and politically correct reason. Go ahead and sign me up for the training.

Yes, be careful. If you say anything about it being a politically correct 'holiday' you will be tagged as a racist and be forced to undergo diversity training. It was thought up in '66, I think.

its an african american holiday. they broke off to serperate themselves from the standard stereotype christmas (white christian familys) and they sometimes where alot of really colorful clothing and hats.
