I would like to put a cab on my 656IH. Do any of you know where I should start looking for one? What kind would be best? How much can I expect to pay for one? Thanks

I bought one for my 706 a few years ago for $200.00 from a salvage yard. All it needed was a few new windows.

Start watching for the upcoming farm auctions in your area, should be able to snag one for a song.
Or, check with the local auctioneers, they might know where one is that for some reason did not sell at one of their auctions. It happens sometimes.

I would start with your local tractor salvage yards. I think some of the after market cabs are actually better than the factory cabs of the late 60's and early 70's. Hiniker makes a real good cab and so does QT-1 Year round. Around here in Wisconsin you can usually find a decent used cab for about $1,000-$1,500. Make sure you get a good one with no broken glass and/or missing or bent doors. You could spend more than the you paid for the cab in a hurry if there's too much wrong with it.

Try parts@elmersrepair.com. They salvage case and IH tractors. They might have some info for you.
