Just built a new one here in N TX. There were already 4 within a 30 mile circle of my house. Now there is one only 4 miles away.

They just moved into a new building here (Northeast SD), and had a heck of a moving sale in the process! We bought 10' x 6' chain link dog kennel panels for $4.00 each, Ruf Haus Dog Houses for $1.00, 40# of Dog Food for $2.00, Round Bale feeder for $20.00, etc. I remember going to their very first store here 50 years ago with my Dad. Little 25' wide, uptown location with nothing in stock but tractor parts. The times...they are a changing!

I guess I am rather ambivelant on this one. There are 2 in my area - 1 in Lake City and another in Middleburg. Neither stock much of anything tractor related - mostly decals and mufflers with some odd carb rebuild kits.

Most of the stuff they offer for sale is feed and fencing for horses. I wish I knew how to make a buck from broom tails 'cause that seems to be the craze. Growing up we had 250 head (Foundation AQHA) and always seemed little or no ROI other than riding.

In July, I visited the Lake City store on the way to Sarasota. It was a disappointment. Lots of horse supplies and things like lawn mower wheels. Ace Hardware has become a disappointment also. There are lots of them in my area. If I need a certain type of bolt or brass fitting, they probably won't have it. They seem to carry lots of stuff made in China. I usually drive a distance to a great hardware store that is huge and has everything, including experts working there.

Kind of odd, you have to drive in the back side to get to the front, feel like I'm enerting a dark alley - nice store tho.

They are building a new one here in Victoria, TX, they claim they are outgrowing the existing store. I guess they are, the aisles are crammed together, 2 people can't fit down the aisle at the same time.

Boy are my grandparents gonna be upset! They will be leaving for their trailer right in Avon Park in a week. Not sure if I should tell them or let them find out on their own.
