Today while driving to our Thanksgiving day dinner, found over 10 tractors "for sale" Yes, this was 130 one way run, longer than the national ave. of 50 to 75. All these tractors were in yards, pastures and such. No dealerships.
5 JD, 4 IH, 1 MM,1 AC, 1 Ford.
I know all of you have an egale eye when it comes to old tractors. How Did ya'll do????? ????

I only drove 2 miles to Thanksgiving. I saw 2 Farmall Hs, a diesel 560 and a Kubota at one place, an 8N dorF and a Ferg TEA at the next, 2 newer dorFs at the next place and, when I got where I was going, there was another Farmall H and a John Deere H. I like this neighborhood.

Two weeks ago, coming home from Sunday breakfest,I took the the long way home ( about half mile further) I noticed a Case tractor (511B)sitting behind a garage with the tarp all rotted that once covered it. A week later I stopped at the house and asked about it. Ended up buying the Case with loader, Ford NAA with loader, cultivator, 7' disk and a John Deere 111 Lawn tractor.

Drove 150 miles in a Triangular trip, I only saw 1 Farmall 300 and 2 Farmall A's. And that was it! :(

Hey John,
Had Thanksgiving at home this year. All the kids came over and we had a feast. Missed looking for the old iron though. Was in the AF in ND the last 8 years and had to drive to AR every year to see all the folks (lots of old iron on a 1100 mile one way run). Now living back in Arkansas for a year and we are all close. Just a thought, I already have four to restore would probably be counter productive to find another in need of a home at this point. Usually if I find'em, I buy'em, so better I stayed home, LOL. Hope you and yours had a happy T-Day. Van

Well John, ufortunatly I did'nt have to drive (320 one way) for Thanks-Giving this year. We celebrated T-D with my wife's family this time. Kind'a nice not to have to be stuck on the road for seven hundred and some miles for a short week up north MN. But I still miss the road trip I guess. Not to mention the hunt of the old iron along the road. And all this time I thought I was the only'est one that did this, acording to my wife anyway's. (:^} LOL! Don C in MN.
