A few years ago, Nolan answered a similar question on the Ford N-board. While his response (linked below) was specifically geared to a Ford 8N, there is much wisdom there that can be applied to any stuck engine.

You have gotten some excellent advise from the first three responses especilly from mgiriam. You cannot over stress the need for prelubrication.

after oiling cyls, leave spark plugs out. spin engine w/ starter for one min., no more. watch oil press guage. this will preoil your bearings prior to running loads imposed onm them

Can we assume that you have checked the engine to be sure it is free, i.e. to say that it is not locked up?

I would check the fuel tank to see if it is rusty.
If not, just refill, otherwise remove and clean.

A clean sediment bowl and screen would be a must.

Add coolant and let set a day or so to see if any leaks away from hidden cracks, etc. If so and you can't see where it has gone to, you might check the oil to make sure it hasn't gotten into the pan.

You might check the exhaust system to make sure nothing has plugged it up such as mice, birds, etc.

Expect that you have a clean intake filter system.

Old has given good advice that I would also follow.

Is the engine stuck??
If it isn't I'd still put some oil, tranmission fluid or something like that in each cylinder and let it sit a day or 2. I'd also put new plugs ,points and condenser in it. Then I would give it a shot and see if you have a good engine. You may get lucky Hope this helps some
