Hi Gang;
Noticed how sheep & cattle always prefer the grass on the other side of the fence. View looking over the eastern side of Dinas Isalnd farm. David

The white dots are sheep - they are aiming to keep 1800-2000 ewes & rear their lambs on the 300 acres of farmed land.
It used to be a mixed farm, grain, potatoes, cattle, sheep & pigs. South facing so gets the best of the waether & sun; clay soil over slate (rock).
The "line" that snakes across the centre of the slope is the coastal pathway.

Great looking pasture. I bet they don't even have to pay the help that work there. I really like looking at the photos of your area.

Hey David, is that more sheep in the far background or just rocks?

Yes, the grass tastes better on the other side. One day the neighbor lady stopped at our farm and was laughing about their driving by our pasture and seeing one old long necked Holstein cow eating through the fence. She had eaten all the Better / Greener grass on the other side of the fence, and now had that long neck wrapped around the fence post and was eating grass back inside the pasture.
