Has any body ever heard of or seen an overland scoop? It is a towable dirt hauling self loading "scraper" that can pick up dirt and move it to another location and then dump it without ever leaving the seat of your tractor. It can also be used to level small dirt piles and level uneven ground. It has wheels one the back and uses a special pair of brackets on the 3 point to work it. Also it incorporates a cable/pulley mechanism to open the front of it to allow dirt to be forced into the front of it. (kind of hard to explain, maybe I should get some pictures and post them)

My grand father has owned one since it was brand new.

Just wondered how many are out there and being used.

Doug, Send me an email, and I'll see if I can squeeze a picture in this end of the wires.

The one I use is rusty metal colored. My grandfather says it was called a teeco (not sure of the spelling)

Doug, I have one and use it to finish grade yards before using landscape rake. It will put a dozer to shame . I think the one I have was made by Gledhill , but there is no ID on it . I have some sales literature from 1953 and it looks like the ads. I know it was bought in 48 with an 8N , I ran that thing several years then stepped up to a case 300 , what an improvement. Also use it with a 730 diesel case , that has power to fill the pan. george

Aloha, Yes, I know what you are talking about. I used to see them all the time but now I don't see them anymore. I also remember that they were yellow in color (same as the cat bulldozer)and they were in a lot of WW2 movies when they were making airfields

Mahalo,
Howard
