Can someone direct me to plans or talk about the geometry needed to build a 3pt? My IH utility has a homebrew 3pt that the original owner made ans works great. Doesn't look like this plan would adapt easy to the back of a crawler. I'm wondering if they just got all the angles right by luck or where I should start.

Dimensions are on the American Society of Ag Engineers website. Try www.asae.com or .org

I built one for my Oliver 77 I used a set of ford 3 point arms and built the reat from junk I had around the place works very well. The main thing is to get them the same distance from the tractor and up and down. I used 2 cylinder one on each side but I didn't really need the 2 one would lift it ok. Hope this helps a little

If any of the Nebraska tractor tests are still posted on the Web, the later tests have the lift system geometry drawings. Not necessarily simple. Often my attempts at this sort of thing require about three tries to get it right- build one, test it, modify/start over, test again, etc.
