Found a D-10 nearby. Runs good, everything works, tires good, sheetmetal straight. Needs paint and seat. Price is $2500. Is it worth it?? Not real familiar with Allis. Thanks in advance.

Exactly what Aaron said below!

Grab it if you want a D10. I looked at on in the spring that was in good shape and they wanted $4500 and they got it. (not from me though)

D10s are guite collectable tractors more so than any other D series Allis.

I took the guy's word that it runs good. I went to check it out myself, and it smokes like crazy. Will need engine work. After that, I never got any further checking it out.If the transmission is good, is it still worth the $2500 he is asking? Thanks, Scott

I would say that it is still worth $2500. The fact that it runs at all is good.

Check out the transmision and everthing else, if smoking is the only thing wrong I would definetly give $2500.

If it will stay in all gears of the transmission, I'd grab it up in a hurry if you want a d-10. Usually the're about $1000-$1500 more.
