As i'm just getting started in antique tractors this year i have had several questions and will have more to come. I know some seem stupid but that plus trial and error is the only way to learn, experience is a great teacher as they say. I realize that my mechanical skills are some what lacking but you know i really like these old tractors just if they can run is very rewarding paint and cosmetics will come later i want to say thanks to guys like 49cubber, Guy Fay, Rustyfarmall, and others that i can't name for answering posts trying to help and not looking down on ametures like me. kyroastnear

Fun learning isn't it. Yeah, I just got into tractors a little while ago too. I love these things. I used to work on cars as a kid, but nothing too big, pull out a manual transmission and put in a new gear, pull a head, tune up, but never a rebuild. My paint and body skills are scary, but if you don't get a car show look, it isn't so bad on a tractor. My problem is finding enough time and getting my shop built.....NEXT SUMMER FOR SURE>

Anyhow, have fun with your hobby and keep asking questions, it's the only way to back up what you read or experience.
