I posted a message a few weeks back asking for a place to drop my gooseneck trailer (36 feet) on the way to Wisconsin from the Florida pnahandle. Jim in Spring Valley, IL offered to use his farm to park the trailer. The location was right near my route and it saved me from dragging my trailer all the way into WI. I just wanted to recognize Jim for his kind offer and to say thanks for all his help. It's people like Jim that affirm my belief in the goodness of mankind and in particular--the quality of folks that work with (and play with) tractors. Not too many folks would trust a total stranger to come on their property and for the opposite perspective, I wouldn't have trusted just anyone to keep my trailer for a week with a Cub and an AC G onboard--not to mention the cost of the trailer. Many thanks to Jim--he's a credit to our farming and tractor community.

Kind of reminds me of John in Missouri- I bought an MM 4 Star Super from him, he agreed to get it to town so my trucker wouldn't have to go out in the boonies. In the ensuing 6 months, the battery died on the tractor. He got it to town, but trucker said the tractor would need to be able to start, as he had to rearrange load as he came west. John took the nearly new battery out of his pickup and sent it along with the tractor! Needless to say, I sent him a check pronto for a new battery when I got the word.

If anybody has to drop off anything with-in reason in Central Wi, just e-mail me ahead of time, just off interstate 39.

Santa Rosa County. A little place called Pace. I'll be passing through your area next weekend on my return back home.
