I need rod and main bearings and camshaft and possibly crankshaft for a case 1070 Where is the best place to purchase these? Is any brand of bearings better than any other? Thankyou

I saved a bunch of money for my neighbor by getting a crank for his 4020 from a tractor salvage place. Check around The Neb or KS area or do an internet search. Stick with Clevite or Federal Mogul bearings and you won't get hurt.

Check the local scrap yards for a crank and rods. But don't just throw them in. It's worth the extra couple of bucks to get them checked for straightness and cracks. If you don't you could really screw up a block. As for bearnings Victor Reinz really work good. I've done 167 tractors with them and never a complaint. I also stick to Fel-Pro for head sets and bottom end gaskets.

Any questions E-mail me back
P.S. Are you looking to sell that 1070?
