I have a Ford 5610 it's a good tractor my problem is the tachometer. I started it last night to blade some gravel, sitting there waiting for it to warm up a bit, I noticed the tach bouncing all over the scale. The tractor is at an idle, so when I throttled it a little it pegged out. I'm not sure what causing this let alone how to fix it. Has this happen to anyone else?

Thanks Sam

Sounds like a dry or bad cable to me. Remove it pull out the core and inspect it. If it does not have bad spots or frayed wire, grease it up and put it back in. Has worked for me in the past.
