What companies make/sell pallet forks? I have a Great Bend 888 loader on a 1979 Case-David Brown 995 (the bucket is pinned as this is not a quick attach system). Thanks for any leads.

Versatach makes them, quick attach type. You can weld brackets on to fit your loader. $350-$400 new; most equipment auctions where they sell a lot of skidsteer stuff.

My pallet forks and grabble were made by ALO, but they are made to go on an ALO loader, so not what you are looking for. You will like pallet forks, as they sure are handy!!!

Several companys make pallet forks. Horst is one brand that comes to mind. I have one of there running gears, and it's very well made.

There are forks that slip into the bucket, but they move the load further from the tractor, and along with that, plus your lifting the bucket every time, that really limits how much you can pick useing them.

Dick; I found a old fork lift that had been junked out, and took the forks, and the front grill off of it! Made new brackets to fit my loader, works very well. Five minutes to take off bucket and put on the forks, or you can lift off the forks from the grill and use tractor without all that stuff hanging in front. Think I paid $150. for forks and grill. I use the forks more then the bucket.

My neighbor made a set of forks for his Case backhoe/loader from and old set of forks that he can slip onto the bucket without having to remove it. Their are companys who make a set of forks that used ears welded to the top of the loader bucket, check with a JD or Case Industrial dealer.

you migt check with warehouses in your area (or other large businesses that use forklifts). a guy i work with has a brother that works in a large warehouse. he said they have to change pallet forks probably once a year on the forklifts due to OSHA and maintenance concerns. the forks start wearing very thin near the tips. i believe they just scrap the old ones. for home use, you could probably just chop the last few inches off the forks and they would still work fine.

Not only do they wear-they get razor sharp dragging across that concrete. Be careful.
