The shop where I work has in-floor hot water heat. If I ever hit the megabucks and build a new garage, that's DANG sure the way I'll go. Nothin' finer than a nice warm cement floor when ya gotta go crawling around under something in the dead of winter.

Better check with ins man before you get to heating. Here in this area they wont go for wood burning devices. All solid fuels are a no no. You can use these devices in your house but not in any out building crazy aint it. Spent 900 for a new one and chimney four years ago and this spring was notified that i would have to stop using it and they came out and checked that it was disconnected had me sign a paper to that effect. Checked with other companys and got the same answer.

So now the popularity of the outdoor wood stoves & in-floor heat.

I would not put that many doors on it, 1 for the shop, one on the other end, and a smaller one on the side. Long doors on a sidewall become difficult to engineer ($$$).

This gets discussed a lot on the Successful Farmer web site, but I don't like the way that place is run so don't go there too often....

Mueller is a big company out of Texas, I know they ship all the way into Arizona. I ordered components for a weld up design of my own, I liked the sales staff and the delivery driver was real polite and helpful to my wife when he dropped everthing off. I beleive they have a website (muellerinc.com).
