Steering wanders considerably in particular on pavement and higher speeds. Steering requires constant corrections. Is this common with the Belarus machines or do I have a problem. If I do have problems that need attention, does anyone have suggestions for a fix? Tractor has 400 hours and nothing appears worn enough to create a steering problem.

check your tie rods ,on my 500 there are rubber pieces inside of them that tighten them up. maybe one of those is bad or like tom says toe-in is not adjusted right.

Jim, try adjusting the toe-in on the front end. With the wheels facing strait ahead, the front of the wheels should be approx. 1/2-3/4" shorter in the front, than in the rear. Make sure you take the measurement half way up on the wheel. When you make the adjustment, you have to push in a relief vale button on the power steering pump. It's located on the left side of the tractor, and is a round circle, that sticks out about a 1/4" and is somewhat smaller than a dime. Then the front wheels will move freely. When you start the tractor and move the wheels, that button will push itself back out. Also try repacking the steering joints with grease. Sometimes the joints will loosen up or become worn out.
