I have a problem with this low pressure pump as the gasket is leaking. I was told that it is plastic and is a certain thickness. This is so when the body and cover are torqued together you have the correct space in pump. Can't seem to locate a new gasket around here, and every one else says just make a new one. If I take it apart, I could mic it if there is an area that isn't squashed flat. if not then then I won't be able to repace the gasket. I was also told that the gaskets were color coded(ex.Blue.5thou. ,red-6thou.)Any truth to this? Any one in tractor land that can help me out, it would be appreciated. Freddy

Hi Freddy, the gasket is plastic. I don't know about dfferent thickness gaskets, parts catalog only lists one part number V20403. I believe it is still available from Case but may have to be cross-ref to newer nr to locate.

Overhaul manual states that you should coat the pump body with light oil: "this prevents folds or creases in the gasket when the cover is installed". Manual does not show any check or spec for runout so I would just make sure it turns freely and not binding before installing on engine.

If your local Case dealer can not help you click on link below:

Click on "not a dealer".

enter v20403 in "Look for Part #" & click "search"

on hand 5.

Before you order send e:mail to confirm it is the right part.

Luck, Joe
