YT is the only forum I know of that covers all brands...

I am doing a school project on something like horses to tractors. This will cover all makes. I am a John Deere kid and a John Deere kid only, so I have never looked at other brand books. If you know of such a book that covers such a topic, would you let me know about it--even Deere? Anything else like a website, other literature, etc. I will take also. Thanks in advance...

Daniel

Go to Library and look for "The Plow Peddler" by
Walt Buescher full of good history, humor amd it is fun to read if you don't see it ask for it. book was published by Glenbridge Publishing ltd.
Library of Congress catalog card no. 91-72529 you could also ask for it at somewhere like Barnes & Noble bookstore

This book is probably out of print now but perhaps not or you might find someone near you with it. Encyclopedia of American Farm Tractors by C.H.Wendell. This book contains almost everything from day 1 in tractors up to the sixties and seventies. You should also take a look at www.versatile-tractors.com

Motorbooks published a book called John Deere Limited-Production & Experimental Tractors. I am not sure if you can still buy it or not. I think I bought mine on sale. Its not the grestest book, but it has some info.

Matt: what do you mean by "it's not the greatest book"? Mr. Thinker doesn't have many good things to say about Motorbooks...
