Well I foiled one scam by asking the bank to send the cashiers check for collection prior to depositing, sure enough it wasn't good. Talk about open a can of worms. It got a whole lot of people involved now...

I'll have to keeep that in mind. It sounds like you found a way to get the right people involved before the damage was done. Please keep us posted.

YIPEE!! For once the good guy wins.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but thought I'd give this information for thought.

This morning on the news, it told of a campaign in Kansas, where banks will have a sign posted at the door asking customers to remove hats, sunglasses, and lower hoods. Their cameras aren't getting a clear picture of you it seems. I like to keep my head down and wave as I go past the camera.

If I took off "Photogray" eyeglasses I could hardly find the counter, let alone endorse a check. I guess my employer will have to start paying in cash.

On cold windy winter days, once I get my hood up over my cap I don't care to take it down for any reason. Hm, think I was born 100 years too late.

Problem solved, use the drive up window instead of going inside.

Greenbean,
Why would yout hink that your employer would be forced to pay in cash now? If you are the one who chooses not to show your face the bank can ask you to leave without cashing your check and your employer does not have to pay you different than anyone else that works for him.In fact your employer saves money because you don't cash your check and it never clears the bank. It's your choice.
