I am new to the tractor arena and am looking for whatis the best bang for the buck in a diesel tractor. I have about 9 acreas that I will be tacking care of and woudl be looking for a tractor in the compact or subcompact arena. General Hauling, Bushhog, Mowing Platform, front bucket needed, scrapper, tiller, etc - nothing huge. Any thoughts on the value of Kubota, John Deer, Mahindra, Yanmar, Branson, etc? Your PROS and CONS are welcomed

Why, with the limited use you are describing, are you set on a diesel? How far north are you situated? (diesels are sometimes hard to start in the winter) Gas tractors are cheaper to repair and maintain.
IMHO you should get an old Farmall or a 60 or 70 series JD and have fun for the next 30 years.
good luck

i would suggest a john deer 650 deisel, its done everything ive wanted it to but it might be a little small, (my other tractor is a super C) but it runs a snowblower easily has 3 point hitch and a hydraulic bucket is optional i think

I bought a Mahindra 3505 DI 2 years ago after looking at many new tractors. It is well built, runs good and has done everything I wanted it to do. I have cleared about 20 acres of tallow trees and brush, dug drainage ditches cut hay,
everything you would expect. When comparing it to the others they all looked like toys, plasstic everywhere. I love the Mahindra and think I made a wise decission in buying it.
