Concerning a 1946 Farmall B Culti-vision. What type of oil is recommended and how much and how often to change? I got some HD 30W for now. The oil hasn't been changed in over three years. I'm waiting on a oil filter and service manual before I do any servicing. I see two spigots on the left side of the oil pan. I presume those are the full oil indicators? Somewhere between the bottom one and top one is the operating capacity? Thanks for your help.

HD 30 should be just fine - a low ash #30 is what is recommended.

The 2 petcocks that you mentioned on the side of the pan are indeed oil indicators. You should fill until it just starts to come out of the top one.

I don't have a book or a chart on the B, but at very minimum you should change at least once a year and a maximum of 100 hours. I believe it holds 5 quarts. Someone please correct me on this if I'm wrong.
