What exactly does Blue Power Special mean?

My husband is sick, and I need info on this tractor so I will know how to price it.

It's a 1968, I think, with only 700 hours on it. It has a frontend loader, ploughs, blades, bush hog, and a lot of equipment with it.

Any info is appreciated.

Thelma, where are you located? Did your husband buy the tractor new? Has it been kept in a barn? How does the paint look? I have an IT Used Tractor Price Guide and will help you, but need more information.

No, he bought it used. The first owner got sick and sold it to Ray. Ray only used it very little. We didn't farm, just planted a big garden, had 1/2 acre of strawberries, and mainly it was just a hobby for him. He worked full time at a job, so the tractor was not used much. He bushhogged a little with it, just to keep the farm cleaned up,
(his dad used to raise tobacco, but he died at age 54 with the same type of dementia Ray now has. Ray is 57, and very sick) He at one time had about an acre of corn, but mainly the tractor was just parked. He always would crank it and let it run some.
Other than just needing a good washing and cleaning up, the tractor is in good shape. I have a man coming Saturday to crank it, fix the tire on it (the tube is pinched) and pull it up to the house for me to get ready to sell it. (It's under a shed next door at his Mom's house).

This may be more info than you need, but I hope this helps in finding out what to ask for it.

The paint and sheet metal is good, it just needs cleaning up. He always kept it in a shed, and did anything it needed to take care of it. We are in North Carolina.

prices can vary widely from one area to another. the best appraisal would be from a dealer. with low hours and the equipment mentioned, it should bring a good price. of course, that does depend on the sheetmetal condition and the overall running condition of the tractor.
