I'm curious if anybody besides A/C made a rear engine tractor like the "g". Some one told me there was one made by MM.

Grand Haven and Friday are two others that come to mind, both made in Michigan. Roger VanCamp has another one that looks somewhat like the G in his tractor yard. I cant remember the name but it was hydraulic drive.

David Brown 2D. 14hp air cooled 2cyl. engine. Built between 1955-61 although only 2008 were built. The mid mounted implements were raised and lowered using compressed air instead of oil, the tubular frame of the tractor acted as an air resevoir.

Back in the early 70's a copy of the Allis G was made by a John Blue here in Alabama. I lived close to the factory that made them. I was told Allis Chalmers sued them for patent infringement but never heard the outcome. I do know that several were sitting in John Blue's yard then all of the sudden they were gone. But they did exist for awhile anyway.

John Deere also made one, but I don't think it ever made it to production. I did see one of the prototypes at a 2 cylinder show.
