I have a 930 Case Comfort King. The hydraulics got to where they would not pick anything up. I was told the hydraulics, differential and transmission were all one system. I changed the oil and it still wont lift. Is there a filter? If so, where. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a screen on the intake line in the transmission housing. It keeps metal from flowing through the pump. Sounds like it might be covered with metal flakes. That would keep the pump from pulling the fluid from the transmission.

Thank you for the responses. I ordered a manual last night so maybe I can figure this out. John

John,
Yes there is a filter, its located on the left side of the tractor facing foward in the seat just above and behing the battery box. The guy I bought my 930 from said he spent $400 for a pump then found out it only took a $10 filter to fix the problem, I have all the manuals , email me if you need any info.
good Luck,
Mike

I changed the filter and still no good so I pulled the pump. Where does the pump get the oil from. There is a passage on the left side that I assume is the inlet. Does it suck oil up through the filter and to the pump? Does this sound like a bad pump or could it be a bad bypass valve? John

Im weak in that department, Put a hit out there for John Saeli, Klyde and Casemand, they have always helped me in the past with problems. I will check my manual tonight for you. I do have an extra pump also if yours is bad. Im just north of La Crosse WI

Jon,Ihad a 930 from new in 1963 and was real pleased with it. Iexperienced the same problem you describe on two occasions. That was so long ago that I do not recall much detail of the remedy. However ,to the best of memory on both occasions the problems were remedied by adjustment of a linkage located under a plate on top of the differential.Talk to the some fellows on the Case board and also ask if any one has a service manual to refer to.I have four Cases and when a problem arrises have found the dealer's service manager willing to give me advice.
