I am having so much fun with my Farmall H, (bought it about a month ago) that I've decided that I've been biten by the tractor bug very badly.

I think sometimes of other tractors I'd like to have. Last night, I asked my wife, "What are you going to do when I bring home another old tractor?"

She just smiled and made some comment about her bringing home antiques, and re-aranging furniture.

Bringing ANOTHER old tractor home, hmmmm. I had visions of another project, and maybe a parts tractor. That made me wonder, just how many is enough?

Question: How many tractors, including parts tractors, do you have at your place?

Sorry Chris but your 1460 cannot be a 1987. It wouldn't be an IH and it wouldn't be a 14 series as the 16's had arrived and so had Case. LOL Farmall C
Farmall M
Farmall SM
IH 1486
IH 5088
CIH 7140
Allis D21
Allis 7060
Allis 7080
Ford 900 Trike
1979 IH 1460 AF Combine
2 Partriges and 3 Pear Trees
Wife says either some tractors go or else me!! Wonder which corner of the shop would be best for my bed?

Hey Farmer John, I blame it on senility, fat-fingers and dislecsia.... LOL Hahaha!!! You are right! I proof-read that post 2 or 3 time before posting and after reading your post I had to go back and look again twice before seeing what you were talking about.... My 1460 is a 1978 model {transposed the last two numbers}! It was made about the first year that Axial-Flows were run down the assembly line! It has had a long life (chronometer was replaced over a decade ago so I have no idea what the hours are) and it will still cut beans this fall {uses a 20ft. wide #810 grain table with a Hart-Carter floating cutterbar}. I have worn out about everything that is possible to wear out, patched everything that wore, and I still run the ol' beast! Couldn't get $5K for the whole thing though.... LOL!

My father started this mess some time ago. Now, my two brothers and I are chest deep in it. Do not throw us a life line: Regular, F-20, F-30, H, Super M, 130, 400, W-9, 460, 504, and Cub. All but one is restored. All are working except the Regular. It recently left us to join Dad. Repairs are underway.

Ford NAA
MF 65 gas utility
Farmall F-20
Farmall H

All work for a living (except the H is currently down for an engine overhaul, rewire, and repaint) More tractors will show up in the future, provided I have money to spend on them. There's this nice A-C 185 I've got my eye on . . . .

I have 2 a Farmall H and a Farmall 300. But you cant just have tractors I now have 3 NH balers and a NH rake and a JD mower a IH disk and some hay racks. All this just because I wanted the H to move some snow.No point in having tractors and not use them for some thing. I did hay.

I used to have a farmall H and I gave it to a church, I got tired of working on it. I now have a 1976 Bolens with a heavy duty front blade and it works well. I also just bought a brand new Polaris 400 Sportsmen 4X4 ATV, works great, fun too. I talked to a guy about 2 years ago in Minnesota that had 52 (yes 52) IH tractors and 45 allis Chalmers tractors. He had them stored in a barn, most in running condition.

Got a JD 7510, 6400 with loader, and 2130, and an AC 6080 for parts and another 6080 that died this spring so they're both probably going out the door this winter. Work about 720 acres, milk 65-70 and about 250 acres of woodlot so we usually average about 1200 hours a year on the 6400, 1000-1100 on the 7510 and about 4-500 on the 2130.

I now have 6! A ’45 Farmall H the first one. Then a ’30 Case C, 2-’37 F-20’s, a ’36 F-20 and a ’38 Case Model L. All run except the L (going to work on that this winter). I got bitten less than a year ago!

I don’t think there is a number that is enough! If you want to keep them inside then space can be the restriction. I’ve been considering buying a Cargo Container to set on the ground. Just think how many tractors you could get in a 40-foot container! :-)

I have a total of 14, here is the breakdown.
5 Farmall F-12's (2 running)
2 Case CC (1 should be running today)
2 Minnies
1 Oliver 88 (just needs tires)
1 Farmall F-14 (soon to be running)
1 Gibson 1 Allis Chalmers WC (sold, but not picked up yet)
1 IHC T-20 (have hopes for this one, but haven't gotten into it yet.

Am looking at 3 Farmall F-20's, another F-12, 10-20 industrial on hard rubber, Oliver crawler, Caterpillar 30.

I guess it never ends. I only have 10 1/2 acres to stockpile treasures. I guess when I run out of room I will have to quit.

Congrats on your purchase! You can never have enough tractors.

1950 Farmall Super A (my first)
1948 Farmall M (followed a year later)
1956 Farmall 300 (just got is last Friday)

I'd probably have 3x as many tractors as I do now if I had the money and shed space.

All of mine run, and I hope to restore them all one day.

I have twenty two here at the house that my lovely wife keeps count of but more that that up to the farm.

Let's see, I've got a couple dozen restored and another dozen ready to (maybe/sometime) Deere's, and a couple of pullers; an Oliver, a Ford, MM and a MX120 that I use to actually do some work. I'm sure I really need a lot of therapy. Try scattering them out to various barns and neighbors, and your kids; that makes them harder to count. Tractor covers in the barns also will "protect" them. Then be sure and return the favor for a friend.

Well, if you have been bitten by the bug, there is no cure. Wife and pocketbook can slow down the progression, but you build up an immunity pretty fast. Just keep an arm's length away from her and learn how to duck real fast. Also might get an old Lazyboy for the shop for those nights right after bringing another tractor home. My wife calls my collection my "other women," and I have just added another one to my "harem." Have a 48 JD B which is my work tractor, a 44 JD B that is on blocks in the shop just about ready for paint, 37 JD A that runs and drives, but is next in line for a face lift, 35 F20 fence row beauty that found me and needs a good home elsewhere, and my latest addition, 1940 JD H that is comlete, but came with "some assembly required." Hope to get this one up and running by the end of this week. Saw a late model JD G on the roadside for sale on the way back home ....Hmmmmm mm.

Only have two tractors, 1 John Deere, and one Allis-Chalmers...The John deere is a piece by piece complete restoration and the Allis-Chalmers is a piece by piece restoration that is about 50% completed. It is pretty crowded with 1 car and 2 tractors in the same two car garage.
