Still no word from the cops, I called this morning, the officer is still out. Here's what I found out. The vehicle I'm looking for is an '88 possible '87 Black Pontiac Fiero (searched the web and found pictures). Pretty sure it's got Wisconsin plates. This is significant because I live across the border in Minnesota, probably 8 miles from the border. Several more neighbors have said they've seen a similar vehicle parked along the road in odd places at odd times. This creep drives out of his way to come to over to our area to do his stuff. Guy probably likes Pontiacs, the car that our neighbors saw parking in their driveway a while back was a Trans-Am. I'm willing to give all this information plus the stories from my neighbors to the cops.....as soon the guy is back from his break. Since it's been a couple of days my wife is beginning to freak out, I think we were in shock at first, now it's beginning to sink in what this guy was doing. If anyone is interested I'll keep you advised, if not I'll stop. Again, if anyone has any advice or suggestions I welcome them.
Thanks.

Ya know.... I was thinking about differnt security items that would work. But I suddenly had an idea how to figure how to get a positive ID of this guy... caught "red-handed" as it were...

Mix some enamal house paint with a little motor oil (the paint won't set up then)... and either paint the window sills or a flat board (slat) that is then tacked to the window sill. If the peeper comes up to the window and lays any fingers on the sill... the wet paint will have his finger prints in it!

This might also be a way of showing proof to the sherrif that the creep was on your property! There may be other paints or coating that would work too.

Why in America would people complain about a sick drooling s*xual perv*rt? What nation turned down a decorated WW II hero in 1996 for a draft dodger who could keep his pants up in his 1st term of office.

had a similar experience a few years ago, somebody thought it would be pretty cool to watch my wife shower while i was in the field.i didn't think it was funny at all, what i thought was a one handed knee slapper was when he was trying to sneak a peek and found the electric fence wire complete with electric fencer hooked to it right under the window that he thought was so cool to look through.the cops did nothing but make us feel like it was our fault for showering.the fencer was my dads idea, and man did it work.the guy was caught about 6 months after he left my house,he thought it would be ever cooler to sneak a peek of the sheriffs daughter.

Since you say your wife is begining to freak out a bit over this, I'd suggest taking care of that. If you're contributing to it, then talk about this event to others, and not to her. Also, check and see if there's any sort of counceling at your hospital or such for both of you. I say both because you don't want to essentially say to your wife "your a mess and need to be fixed". She'll respond better if you both go. Truthfully, you could probably use a little yourself. :-)

Not surprised he's traveling a little ways to come visit you all. After all, it's pretty noticable in your own neighborhood.

You seem to be doing a very good job of sleuthing. Keep up the steam, but don't blow a safety, if you know what I mean.

Hi Jeff,
i've been following your problem. like others have said, don't let your guard down. the problem is a few weeks or months of this and you will be a basket case. a lot of these types dont have a job and the unpredictability makes it hard to have even close to a normal life till the problem is solved. might i suggest a series of motion detectors and vid cameras the price of some of this stuff has really come down. you might try x10.com. some of the simpler stuff is confused by dogs but some models can be set to ignore small animals. some of the camers use IR and can be used in darkness. good luck

If you catch the perp on video tape, you can probably recover the cost of your camcorder by sending a copy of the tape to "AMERICA'S STUPIDEST CRIMINALS"

JeffE,keep the old 12 gauge shotgun loaded with rocksalt(bleeding hearts don't want you to defend yourself or your family with real loads). You won't have to kill him to get the message accross but let him know that he better not come back.Keep your eye open, ears alert and sleep light. He'll make a mistake one of these days.I know this doesn't give you peace of mind but it might end your problems. Then again, let's take guns away from everbody and then peeping toms can do as they please, with out fear.Sorry, soap box issue(and yes ,I'm against gun control).

You and your family have every right to be concerned. I myself have been in the same situation. The local cops were no help. The only thing that was a piece of mind to me was the fact that I took the time to school my family in the use of fire arms. It never came to that ,thank GOD, but, There is alot of sick individualls out there. Confrounting this person may be risky at best but, if your local law inforcement is not any help maybe a group of nieghbors carring shotguns "looking for a rabbid dog that ate some of my chickens" would do the trick.

One of my friends has had many problems from peeping toms to theives. The cops never had enough to do anything with on all the cases. He did the alarm thing and the thieves figured out how to tie up the phone lines so the alarm company didnt know what was up. He took maters in his own hands. Bought a camera set up from radio shack, put it in a place no one could see and every time something happens now they get the perp. in usually less than 2 days. If you really want to catch and not just scare them dont put up any alarm or camera warning signs. His set up was less than $300 and uses a regular vcr. Good Luck

Also Jeff
Can you get 6-8 neighbors to take a turn to drive around the community that way you have every night covered maybe do it during the hours the veh. has been sited in the past--also how about writing a letter to the editor of surronding papers describing the events and the CAR to see if you can't get some info. Do you have any friends working on a police force or the motor veh.dept who could run info. on that particular car--you will probably have better luck coming in the back door thru a friend or a friend of a friend who works in those depts. than working directly with a local police dept. I have rented to officers and if you know one thru something like that they can do a lot for you that they won't or can't do going thru the regular route if you know what I mean. Doesn't hurt to let a cop hunt your property for small game or something so you can have him as a friend in times like this they can do a lot for you on a behind the scenes friend type of a relationship than they can with a regular call for help. just my .03

Hello Jeff
We have 2 grown daughters but when they were home I had 2 BRIARDS french sheep dogs very territorial and protective and the best hearing of any dog--they were used in the war to go out on the battle fields to listen if the downed soldiers were breathing. These dogs would stand up from sleeping if a car turned off the blacktop on to our gravelroad a mile away.
Had a number of bites and folks would say you are stupid to have dogs like that--I always responded that we had young girls and when these dogs circled a car the folks were stupid to get out unless we told the dogs it was alright.
Concerning that car there can't be that many around take a pic to surronding areas and towns where you have a relative and or friends and pass it around to a few of the young kids--they know these cars and who owns them.
keep us posted

Don't take this guy lightly! He is traveling a distance to act out his perversions and has obviously spent a lot of time scoping out your home area. A little harmless freak just out to get his jollies doesn't exert that kind of effort. He's leaving his home at all hours of the day and night to drive across the border for surveillance on you and yours (and who knows how many other families in other areas), those are not the actions of some benign weirdo. This guy's actions will only escalate until he is caught.

Jeff, Get a dog and fence your yard and the rest of the place. TSC can hook you up with a good hi-tensile fence for a few hundred, go with seven wires with 4 hot. Itll keep anyone out and if ever cut the charger panel will tell you if fence is out of commission. good luck

Motion detectors that turn on spot lights work real well. These -b-bastard-s hate light especially when it comes one without notice. Get the ones that go off in the time you specify. Home Depot usually has them pretty reasonable.

I rig my motion detector up so it alerts ME! run the wires out of the motion detector to a light or radio in the house so you need to know when to get up and check, really there is no joy in chasing after someone who is alerted before you ,you need to have the edge in a situation like this, sleep with your clothes on and a flashlight ready , shoes at the door, and good luck
