Walt I thought I would check the valves seals before I pulled pan and #2 piston, wa la some jerk left off intake seal. Sanfed me lots of all that extra work ya all had planned for me to do.

New head is on, torqued down, rocker arms torqued and adjusted 0.018 cold.

One thing I did notice is that the head I had done for the factory 1956 172ci has smaller combustion chambers, so looks like I will have an increase in compression. Will have it running later today.

Geeze, next time I think it going to be a simple t a tune-up, I'm going to holler at Walt and or Rich(old).....lol

Thanks everyone for all the great advice and feedback...

Keith & Shawn

PS.. Walt we'll be heading to Hillsboro the 29th of Jun for State Special Olympic track finals. K&S

I thought that looked like oil carbon seen a lot of it when its on one cylinder its pretty sure to be oil.

I just got my NH 78 Hayliner back up and running did 280 bales on place then went to a neighbor and did 162 bales and wham broke a needle inn two places BUMMER. Now I'm deciding whether to weld or buy I need it tomorrow to finish that field.

Hey try to get down I'm just a short ways down 99-W.

so far its been a good day one needle one gate my buddy didn't make it though and a couple of shear pins. We seems to have lost an 8 acre site due to wife and husband not communicating with each other but picked up another 5 so it all came out OK in the end. Boy have you seen the price of HAY lately the cheapest I saw was $135 ton and the highest was $200 a ton that grass hay we are talking about.

Shoot keith you should be out here and helping work in this Allis MOCO/haybine. I have it close to being ready and will be putting on new sections tomorrow. This thing when we got it had weeds/trees and balck berrys growing all over it. I have worked for the last 3 days getting it close and now only have the mower area left and it should be putting down hay in a few days
