Was not sure where to ask this and I figure this is the most widely read forum so, when is the best time and what is the best spray for bees. They found a hole next to a window ledge and I want to get them the first time. If I don't they may find a way into the house. Thanks

Get a pump sprayer and some Dursban, (very toxic stuff-especially to bees) and spray the hole and the bees, they die almost instantly upon contact, Dursban is the most effecive insectcide I know of.

Yep Dursban was good stuff. That must be why they outlawed it. If you got it, you can still use it, but you can't buy it anymore

Best thing on the market is Chemtool carb cleaner or CRC Brake Clean. Don't buy the cheap carb cleaner it won't work.Attach the little spray tube and you have a lethal weapon, instant death to the critters.Carefull on any painted surface!

Plain old soapy water will kill bees. Gotta' get em while they're calm though. It soaks through their exoskeleton and works pretty well. non toxic. If they're aggressive at all, get the stuff that shoots 20 feet.

When we had a professional come out to our place he sucked as many up as he could with a gasoline powered vaccuum (he took the venom to a lab)then pumped a little seven dust into the hole-Within a few days thay were gone.Hope this helps.

I have been well pleased with the Spectracide brand. Available at department stores and the like, in a green and yellow can. It has the fastest knockdown power of any non-commercial spray I've found, and is better then many of the commercial ones. Cheap too, and the can sprays well.

Consider too making an escape cone out of some screen material. So that those in the nest can escape, but can't get back in. It's far easier to kill them when they are clustered around the opening then when they are well back into the wall.

Carb cleaner or brake cleaner. After they settle down for the night. I feel like it sufficates them quicker than the flying insect spray.

It works great, doesn't it. About 4 seconds is all they get after a hit.

Are they bees or hornets? Either way, kill them.
Wait until just after sundown and hit them with that stuff that shoots 20 feet. (Raid, Black Flag, etc, wasp and hornet killer) soak the hole real good
good luck
