Awhile back, I was visiting a classroom at one of our local schools, and the teacher had the students looking at aerial photos (probably from a sattelite) of several land forms. He told me that much of the US is available on this website. Anyone know what it is? (Probably a govt. site.) I'm working on a neighbor ladies place, and would like to have some accurate pictures of the place.

Thanls, guys that's the one I'm looking for... found a photo of land 3 miles east of where I'm looking, so will have to learn to navigate a bit!

I've used www.mytopo.com with good results for getting aerial photos. Give it a try and see what you think. -Mark

Terraserver it is. Good site. Can see pretty good detail. As was stated before, older pics, but then again, would you really want to be able to stand outside of your house and wave at yourself on the monitor??

Type in "terraserver" in a search engine, its a microsoft site. Need accurate address to find the area, many of those photos are 7-10 years old.

Mapquest also carries the terraserver site in certain areas.
