Aloha, Bovine can be transmitted from cows to humans but what about other animals such as pigs, dogs, etc. Just curious.

Mahalo,
Howard

It does, and has, transferred to animals such as deer and elk. These animals are very similar to bovines.

It is similar to scrapie in sheep, and kuru in human cannibals.

There is theoretical evidence that the diseases are essentially one and the same, with variations to make them successfull for the various animal species. That is a theory only. The research to determine if in fact it can happen has not been concluded, nor have conclusive results to that end been published.

They call it PMS because mad cow disease was already taken.
