After successfully splitting and replacing the clutch input shaft seals on my JD 5020 the thing stopped after only three hours of discing. Upon inspection I found the right set of rear tires moved out about 6 in exposing the bearings. I figure I broke an axel. I guess this is not my year to run the JD. My question is; How are these things to be moved when this happens. I dont happen to have a large lifting crane at my disposel. Stan, Disguested in calif

more likely the center bolt inside the axle is broken or turned loose. you can move it a short distance by driving VERY slowly with the diff lock applied. make sure the axle doesn't move further out.

Hey Stan, I just wanted to know how things were going with the 5020 and if you ever got it repaired? Thanks Derek
