the generator is gone and replaced with a one wire alternator on my 1966 ford 4000 diesel, but the gauges don't work. all the wires are cut apparently because of the installation of the alternator. (someone else did the conversion before i got the tractor). how can i rewire to get my dash panel gauges to work? i need the oil pressure and water temp gauges to work before i start mowing. can anyone help on this?

if these gauges are electrical, there should be a wire between the relevant sensor and a terminal on the gauge (check continuity with an ohmmeter),there should be baterry voltage to another terminal of the gauge and ground to the third terminal.
