we are having a knotting problem when hay is running thur the baler. We can cycle it while hanging on to the strings,(without hay) and the strings knot great, but as soon as the hay is going thur, it will not knot. we have a feeling it is something silly, but can't pinpoint it.Any help will be great.

Melissa I have a 68 baler and they are very picky about the twine used. I tried some 15,000 ft stuff and it would not tie. Went to 9,000 ft and hardly miss a bale. Hope this helps. Rick P

Get the OPERATOR manual for the baler- it shows knots gone bad and how to correct it.

From what you tell sounds like you need to adjust the tension on the twine. Try to adjust tension on hay chamber also. Make sure twine is threaded correctly.
