I"m looking for any information/pictures/links for what I'm told is a Fordson Poll Road Logging tractor? I"m going to be taking on a restoration for the Mt. Ranier Scenic Railroad and any help on gaining info would be great.

My grandfather had a Fordson logging train which was built by Skagit in Washington. It ran on wood timber tracks instead of poles.

Would be interested in knowing more about your Fordson.

I beleive this is a Fordson. At least that's what I am told by the RR. It sounds like almost if not the exact type of tractor I've got at the shop.
Thanks so much!

Term would be "pole road",these were tracks, similar to RR ties, made of native wooden poles,to operate tractors on,to support them over soft/rough ground.Sometimes timbers were laid like rails and double flanged wheels were fitted.

Variations existed, however most"Pole Rd"tractors were the same as their farm brethren except for hard rubber tires and mounted winches for retrieving logs
