Just talked to the local tire guy. Price is excellent. Anybody have any experience with these tires?

I have had experience with them on my 20 yr old motorcycle. It has an odd size tire on the front and Chen Shin tires is one of the few reasonable priced ones that is in that size. The first one I put on was really bad out of balance and the dealer couldnt' get it in, Replaced it and it seems to do fine. I have run it for about a year now and it has only been low on air pressure once and that is after sitting in the shed this winter. Sa far no probs.

Not sure about farm tires but they seem to be ok for their price.

My experience with Cheng Shin tires is on outdoor power equipment, lawn tractors, snowblowers, etc. From my experience they are no good. They leak through the sidewalls after only 2 years. As a comparison I have and know of several John Deere riding mowers and snow blowers made back in the early-mid 1970's that still are wearing the original GOODYEAR tires today and the hold air too (tubeless tires). However I don't know if Goodyear makes those small tires anymore.
For those small tires get CARLISLE, they seem to be good tires. There was a local store that had those Cheng Shin tires but now all the have is the Carlisle tires. I also see the lawn tractors that used to come with Cheng Shin tires now come with Carlisle tires.

Not for tractor tires but they've been around forever in the aftermarket motorcycle tire business and are always very competitively priced and they have a good product from what I've heard. They sell a ton of them.

Les, Have you looked at Titan Tires $165 new $150 blems. Tiretown then click search. I live in Illinois and they are in Kansas. He said freight on pair of 11.2-38 would be $55. I think Titan is the old Armstrong tire out of Iowa.

Not much of an endorsment, considering the poor rep Armstrong had!!!!! Poor stuff on my Ford. Firestone, Goodyear, anything else other than Armstrong....

Paul, I am not trying to endorse anyones product.I was just trying to help find a source for reasonable priced tires. But I can tell you this I would rather have a tractor with Titan or Armstong tires then some Cheng Shin tire. I have seen all the China And Taiwan junk I want to see.Have a good day. Earl

Ya, I looked at them. I got a better deal in New York state for Firestones but I'd have to drive over there (a full day to go there and back). I think I'd rather give the local guy the business. He's always treated me more than fair. Just want to know if the tires can be expected to last. So far, I'd have to say the reviews are mixed with nobody having first hand knowledge with tires this big.
This tractor is going to be a "working toy" so not subject to daily beating by any stretch.
