I saw a reasonably nice 454 International (gas) for sale in VA. Called the gentleman, he says they have gone to diesel for haying due to cost. He also says that its in great shape. Didn't know the exact year but said "early eighties". What's it worth??? Any help would be appreciated as I'm familiar with 8Ns, Farmall Super Cs and Farmall 230s. Thanks for you help. BobG in VA

I have a International 454 - It was unused for over a year. I have replaced the fule pump but it still will not keep running. It runs for a short time and dies. Does anyone have any idea on what I can try next?

Thanks a lot for the info. Not sure what to do, except wait and see if its gets sold. They want $5500 for it. I've done some research since I sent the first post..seems everyone thinks they are solid good tractors. Thanks again. BobG in VA

Try going on a site like Fastline.com, and do a search for IH 454. This will bring up all of that model listed with various dealers and prices. For example, right now they list eight 454's with and without loaders and gas and diesel, and they range from $3500 to $6900. They were a 70's vintage tractor, and I am not sure if they went into the 80's or were updated. A good way to get a feel for what they are going for. hope this helps.
