Our Kubota is used by our youth organization to maintain the baseball fields, surrouding areas, etc. so many different people use it. While pulling a diamond drag, the chain being used to pull with popped, wrapped around the rear axle and spun the axle seal out of the axle.

Amazingly, there didn't appear to be any damage to the seal and I was able to reinstall it.

The problem is I didn't have the manual and used 80X90. After looking online I found Kubota recommends Super UDT. Does anyone know what the difference between the two types of oil is and what damage this may cause.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it.

Drain it immediately. Super UDT is a low-viscosity transmission/hydraulic fluid. If the tractor is a GlideShift, use Super UDT. If it is a hydro or geardrive, you can use UDT or its equivalent. 80W-90 is unsatisfactory, and will cause problems, both in the hydraulic system and possibly in the transmission. Change all filters, clean screens, drain and fill with the proper oil. Cycle all hydraulic cylinders and repeat the entire process including filters. Consider the cost as tuition.
