I have a 2005 yamaha 660 that ran out of gas. Wouldn't start and ended up replacing the fuel filter. Still would not start and found that it was not firing at the plug. Replaced the plug, no help, all the fuses are good. Anybody have any suggestions on what might be wrong?

I have a 660 grizzly, same engine. Mine refused to start because the fuel vent hose coming out of the gas tank cap had a kink in it. A kink, twist or insect plugging the line will shut it down & keep it dead until line is un-kinked. Luckily a friend with the same bike warned me so I didnt waste too much time looking elsewhere til I remembered his warning. A $7000 bike shut down by vent hose kink! Looks like they could do better than that.
