Thing is to be EXPLICITE about is WHAT you want covered, WHERE you want coverage, and HOW MUCH
coverage do you actually get.
My farm blanket covers the tractors against fire
and theft anywhere for fair market value
(like I'd really accept that !!!). My truck/
trailer insurance covers them on the road (loading
and unloading, too) liability in case of accident
to another person(s)and supposedly on show grounds
I have never found anyone willing to insure a show tractor (+/- Expo quality) for replacement
value, even after presenting going auction prices.
If you run across someone, please, post it!
There's some out there that think if you can afford to have a show tractor, you can afford to
lose it. That's b.s. as far as I'm concerned.
Just my nickle's worth ! pb

I got out the policy.
It is with Maryland Casualty Company, the agent is:
J.C.Taylor Antique Auto Insurance
320 South 69th Street
Upper Darby, PA 19082
610-853-1300
I have the same coverage on my antique tractor as I have on my everyday vehicles. Fire, theft, collision, medical and (most important to me) liability.
They were very easy to deal with. You must furnish a photograph and serial number and fill out a questionaire. Never had a claim so I don't know how that works. Hope I never need to find out.
I have no idea if it is available in any state other than PA. You'll have to call them to get those kind of details.
I hope this helps

I have the coverage you describe. It's from an insurance agency that specializes in antique cars and trucks. My regular insurer couldn't provide it. I don't remember the name right now and I can't look it up 'cause I'm at work.
Seems like it is J.T.Taylor? or J.C. Taylor?, or something like that. They are down near Philly.
If I think of it when I get home I will look it up and post back.
I got their name from one of the guys in the local IH chapter.

anyone got a policy that covers parades, shows,DEMONSTRATIONS,competition, etc IN writing? every agent I ask says no ,Used to cover demonstrations but they delete that now also. I think that this all falls under "acts of war" as far as the insurance industry is concerned. My venting for the day. old timer

Check with your Homeowners insurance agent. Mine covers me for any accident which may happen at a parade or show as long as I don't get paid for doing these, and I don't know many places that do pay. But my insurance with out a rider added on didn't cover my tractors if I had an accident while loading or unloading or if it accidentally fell off the trailer while towing. It was quite cheap getting this extra coverage added on. Also I had to list all my tractors, and put a value on them for my homeowners policy in case of fire.I suppose all companies are different. I know of a couple of companies tthat won't cover your tractors if in a parade or show. Good Luck

I have a farm policy and I just called my agent and asked about tractor insurance. He just asked me the particulars about the make and model and asked me what I thought it was worth. He then insured it at that value as equipment. That only covers the tractor when it is on my property though.

Les, mine is a rider also, I guess. I have homeowners with an "umbrella" which pays if the liability exceeds the homeowner's limits. It's not very expensive.
