Hey all, I was at the junkyard, dropping off some scrap metal when I saw a Mid 70's Chevy Bonanza full size pickup....I've never heard of this model...has anyone else and what years worse they made? Sounds like a Cow boys special? Worth buying cheap? what was it? Its a 1/2 ton 6 bolt

Mike

I still have my 1978 bonanza4X4came originally with 350 350 auto full time 4X4 no air and silverado chrome and two-tone paint. I think it was a trim package in between scotsdale and silverado.Saw a dually just like for sale last week don't know it it was silverado or ?.

Mike, they were made in 79&80, they had a heavier spring package or at least they stood up a little higher in the front end than the regular scottsdales and silveradoes and I'm thinking they had 400 c.i. engines in the 4X4's anyway, otherwise just a trim package like stated earlier and air conditioning standard, larger hubcaps full wheel cover not just to cover lug nuts. chris

I think it was some sort of option package, with a wooden bed in the box? Nothing special, unlike the XKLT 6100 series, with the xyz 454 butcher block motors. :)

Hey, that's our old truck ... where did you say it was located? Gotta run, Hop Sing has the bathwater ready in front of the fireplace.

Yer gettin pretty frisky there Hop Sing with those kinda claims. Last time I saw you was in a big cloud of road dust as you drove that Bonanza truck away, and you didn't even clean up the supper dishes. Always wondered where that truck got to. I guess you know most of us are dead now, but we're still watchin' over the spread. Those were good times.

I sent half the money to Adam, he was the only one I liked anyway. I invested the other hundred in Enron stock, I was a millionaire for awhile now I am broke. Sorry to hear about the rest of the family, is it true that the old place is now a resort area for those rich hollywood types?

The Bonanza was a trim option special edition, like an Eddie Bauer Ford. Nothin' special, collector wise.
